Hi there, creative friends! Welcome to BOLT Handmakers Society, your vibrant fiber arts studio located in Boise, Idaho. BOLT Studio offers opportunities for learning, teaching, and personal exploration of all fiber arts. We are a community studio space that teaches sewing classes, offers various workshops from our fellow community artists, and hosts open studio time for every level of fiber art lover. Are you a creative looking for more space? Are you interested in teaching a class? Are you a student interested in learning a new skill? Or are you a hobbyist looking to host fun events for you and your friends...? BOLT has ya covered. We offer a comfortable and functional studio space paired with great vibes to share with all of our fellow Fiber creatives. Tour the Studio
BOLT is a hybrid studio and hosting space. We designed it with the intention to be both a creative working studio, and a fun place to host classes, workshops, and fun social events. We offer a sewing library where you can come in and use a variety of sewing machines including a serger and industrial Adler for leather and thick cotton. We have ample table space to spread out, trace patterns and cut large projects. We offer sharpened scissors, rotary's and mats to cut out all of your projects efficiently. We offer a variety of sewing notions to get basic projects done. We have a variety of yarn, fabric, and trims to help get your project started. We also have a small kitchen, a stereo, a projector, and great vibes to accompany you here at BOLT. We emphasize sustainability and most of our fabric and notions are second hand. We really thought about the feels and function of our space. BOLT is a much needed creative third space to learn and interact with fellow Boise creatives. It's comfortable, inclusive, and a whole lotta fun! We are building a wonderful intentional community.
